March 18, later!
Well, we really just got some great news!! Caitlin will probably be released from the hospital on Thursday or Friday after she has a day or so to recover from the surgery of putting in the perma cath. We already have arrangements made for her to start out-patient dialysis on Friday afternoon if she gets released on Thursday. Her red blood count continues to go down so they are going to transfuse 2 units of blood just to give her a leg up before she goes home. The best news yet though is that she peed on her own today, 200 cc's. YEAH!!!! She's not out of the woods completely as far as her kidneys are concerned but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Got to cut this post short - they're here to take her out of special care and up to a regular room. Thank you again for all your posts - it is not only helping her, but I'm enjoying reading them too. Chris

Caitlin! I am so glad to hear you are doing better! I love you so much and miss you. I know you are going to fight and get through this like a Billy goat wrestle! I admit- You're the champ! Oh, I told the receptionist my name- Tammy BRISON- but she didn't believe me! You'll have to get on to her when you are better! I wish you the best in your recovery and am so thankful for you. Love ya girl!

Hi Caitlin! You don't know me, but a friend of mine told me of your condition through facebook a week ago and God has put a determination in me to pray for every struggle you've been going through. Because of this I have been really been studying God's Word especially about healing and it has restored my faith. I would like to tell you a powerful message I have received: (Mark 5:25-30) "Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better; but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.' Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, 'Who touched My clothes?'" Then in verse 34 Jesus said to her "Daughter, YOUR FAITH has made you well..."
Ther was no magic in the clothes that Jesus wore, it was by the woman's faith she was healed, and for some reason she just didn't have the faith until she was close enough to Jesus to touch his clothes. This message does not mean that doctors can't heal you, but God's healing is perfect. Jesus suffered for our healing just as he died for our sins. "...by His stripes we are healed"(Isaiah 53:5). God wants you well, and If he didn't he wouldn't have let his only begotten son go through so much suffering and take on every deformity and disease for nothing.
