Well, Caitlin had her hopes dashed this morning when we went into the dialysis center for a blood draw. Depending on the results, she might not have had to have a treatment this afternoon. Unfortunately, her BUN and creatinine were still too high, so off we went to dialysis. She was definitely upset, shedding tears, and right after she got the news that a treatment was in store for her, her physical therapist showed up to work with her. He could tell her heart wasn't in it so he cut the session short and asked her to work on the exercises after he left. Her blood pressure continues to run on the higher side and they almost had her stay for a fluid bolus again due to her heart rate being in the 130's again. The doctor was called and I just have to watch it at home - if her resting heart rate is in the 130's I have to take her to the ER. We go back Monday morning for another blood draw and hopefully there won't be another trip back into Nashville for a treatment Monday afternoon because her numbers will be within the range they're looking at. Caitlin was able to see her brother's performance in the Wizard of Oz last night but only made it to the intermission before needing to come home. We're going to go back tomorrow night for the last perfomance at the time of intermission so we won't have missed anything. Brandon left this morning at about 3 to head back to Houston for a week to take care of some business - we already miss having him here! Thank you for the cards that are coming in with such wonderful notes. Please continue to keep Caitlin and her family in your prayers during this trying period of recovery. Again, Caitlin's address is: 7114 Boone St., Fairview, TN 37062 should you want to pass this information on to anyone wanting to send a card, postcard, words of encouragement. Chris
